Minimata is the story of world-famous photojournalist, Eugene Smith, played by Johnny Depp and set in New York City and Minimata, Japan in 1971. Sourcing furniture and dressing for such a niche period and locations in a non European country was challenging as was getting all the Feng shui and correct Japanese script for set decoration. Shooting in two different countries was challenging but the end product is a testimony to my eye for detail and overarching skills in coordinating the set decoration crew.
This film was shot in studio and on location in Serbia and Montenegro.
